Headaches and Migraines

Do you suffer from headaches or migraine?

Many of us suffer with headaches and migraines. Often people complain of pain and tension from the back of the head that may radiate over the top to the forehead. Other people feel aches and tension bands around the head. Migraine sufferers also can get visual ‘auras’ and nausea.

There can be many reasons for getting headaches and migraines, and it is the osteopath’s job to distinguish and assess whether osteopathy may help your condition. Many headache and migraine sufferers have found much benefit from osteopathy, and  gentle cranial osteopathy in particular.

Easing and releasing the bones and soft tissues of the head can reduce stress and tension headaches or posture headaches. Tensions affecting the blood vessels of the head are a cause of migraine. By releasing strains in the skull normality can be restored and migraines given relief.
