If you’ve ever wondered how celebrities and people in the public eye achieve that sleek polished look. Or if you would like to re-vamp your current style to enhance your career or build your confidence, then Cumbria’s first Style School could be just what you are looking for.

Style School is the brain child of Inessa Marris, a former fashion model who has launched this venture in Windermere.  She explains: “Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved fashion. I’m also passionate about seeing people make the most of their natural assets.  With just a little attention to detail, and the knowledge of how to maximise your good points and play down the bad, any woman (or man) can transform their appearance.”

She added: “When we feel good about outward appearance, this gives us an air of confidence. Style School is ideal for businesswomen looking to further their careers, or maybe for someone who is returning to work after a long absence, or perhaps someone who has recently lost weight. Style School can show anyone how to enhance and make the most of their best features, perfect their look and find their own unique style and express their true personality.”

Fashion advice is available from a very experienced professional stylist who will help workshop delegates choose the best style of clothing to make the best of their figures and body shape. Delegates will learn how to pull together an entire outfit with accessories etc. In addition, there will be sessions on posture and deportment to show how walking in the right way and standing correctly can not only make us look instantly slimmer, but more elegant and gracious. 

A hair stylist will give demonstrations and teach delegates how to style their own hair well using the latest blow drying and finishing techniques. During the workshop, a make-up artist will show each delegate how to apply make up to their own faces to highlight their best features. A colour consultant will give advice on selecting the best colours and tones.

Style School workshops are taking place in Windermere and Kendal.
